Proudly handcrafted in Nelson, New Zealand

We thought we'd share a little about us here.We have lived in New Zealand for more than 21 years, originally from Japan. Dreaming of slow life in New Zealand as a busy businessman in Tokyo, we moved to a rural Canterbury dairy farm with our then young daughter. We instantly fell in love with this beautiful country, especially the spectacular nature and delicious artisan foods. After 13 years on the farm, we decided it was time for a change and moved up to sunny Nelson.

Once our daughter left the nest, we were ready for a new challenge in our lives. We were starting to get aware of the importance of healthy foods to maintain our health as we got older. Japanese food is typically much healthier compared to other cuisines, and as a Japanese couple, we regularly eat our traditional foods. We wanted to introduce Kiwis to new Japanese flavours that are both super tasty and nutritious, and we came across Amazake. Amazake is a traditional super-drink, cherished by the Japanese to this day. We knew our new challenge was to bring Amazake into a modern style drink and reinvent the tradition. Our Amazake flavours are completely original, using local New Zealand ingredients to create new potentials for this traditional drink. 

We aspire to introduce Kiwis to Japanese Amazake, a traditional superfood great for our health and minds.
